Questions.
Everything buyers and households ask us, answered in one place. Where an answer is still marked as outstanding, that is deliberate — we would rather show the gap than state something we cannot substantiate.
WHAT HONOR DOES
- What does Honor Logistics actually do?
- Specialist logistics for equipment that cannot be treated as ordinary freight. We transport, relocate, install and hand over high-value and technically sensitive equipment across NSW and the ACT — deepest in production print, wide format, photocopiers and MFDs, and IT. Everything is run up at our Mortdale facility, delivered in install order, installed and configured on site, and signed off with the person who received it. We also run commercial and residential relocation, using the same crews and the same paperwork.
- Are you a removalist?
- We do removals, both commercial and residential, and still actively quote that work. What makes Honor different is the technical side: the same police-checked technicians who install and configure hardware for managed print providers also run the moves, so the IT is reinstalled properly rather than just relocated.
- What is a run-up?
- Powering on a device, loading firmware and OS, configuring it, verifying the serial and running a test print — at our bench, before it ships. Nothing leaves the dock until run-up is signed off. It is the step that stops a rollout failing on site.
- Do you supply hardware, or only install it?
- We install and deploy, and we do the whole chain ourselves: receiving the goods, unboxing, run-up, configuration, delivery and install. Hardware can come through your supplier or your reseller — it is run up at Mortdale either way, so the sequence and the records are identical.
- Do you work for resellers and managed print providers?
- Yes, that is our primary channel. You win the contract, we put the crew on the floor under your name, and you get the signed records to hand to your client.
SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT
- Do you move production printers and large commercial print equipment?
- Yes — every make and model of A4, A3 and wide-format equipment, with full service capability. Moves are scoped from a site survey rather than from an equipment list, because the access, the placement and the reinstatement are what decide the job. Press-class digital production equipment above A3 is outside our scope.
- Do you relocate wide-format printers?
- Yes, and it is quoted from measurements taken at both ends. Wide-format equipment usually fails on geometry before weight — the machine is longer than the lift or wider than the door — so the survey happens before the date is booked rather than on the morning.
- Can you relocate a whole floor of photocopiers or MFDs?
- Yes. That is the fleet work the business was built on: units run up and configured at Mortdale, delivered in install order, installed and put on the queue the site actually uses, and signed for against each serial.
- Do you only move printers?
- No. Print is where Honor is deepest, not the limit of what it moves. The method — survey, planned transport, custody logged at both ends, controlled handover against a signed record — applies to any high-value or technically sensitive commercial equipment. If your equipment is expensive, awkward to get out of the building, or costly to have standing idle, it is the same conversation.
- Who recommissions the equipment once it is in place?
- We do. Honor runs the full chain in-house — receiving, unboxing, run-up, configuration, delivery and install — so the job is never handed to a third party partway through. One contract, one crew, one set of records.
- What handling equipment do you have for heavy machines?
- Hydraulic tail-lift fitted vehicles and stair climbers, plus the rest of the gear a job needs. Honor holds what it takes to move A4, A3 and wide-format equipment rather than hiring it in, which is why a surveyed date is a date it can hold.
COVERAGE AND SCHEDULING
- What areas do you cover?
- New South Wales and the ACT. That means Sydney metropolitan, St George and the Sutherland Shire, Western Sydney and Parramatta, the Illawarra, the Central Coast and Newcastle, regional NSW for scheduled work, and Canberra. Other states are planned but are not serviced yet.
- Can you work outside business hours?
- Yes, on request — evenings and weekends both, across deployment and relocation work. Out-of-hours work is charged at the standard day rate plus 50%.
- How far ahead do we need to book?
- One to two weeks where possible, and toward the longer end for a larger move, a sensitive equipment relocation, or a project that needs installation and site coordination. Short-notice and urgent bookings can often be accommodated — ask, because it depends on the week rather than on a policy.
- What happens if a site is not ready on the day?
- The hardware holds on pallets at Mortdale with a pallet location and a days-in-storage count against every unit, and the run is rescheduled. Nothing gets dropped on a site that cannot take it.
- Who do we deal with during a rollout?
- One coordinator for the whole contract, so you are not re-explaining the job to somebody different each week.
RECORDS AND CUSTODY
- What paperwork do we get?
- A signed installation sheet per device with name, role, date and serial; a serial reconciliation against your asset register; the run-up record from before despatch; and a decommission log for anything removed.
- How do you track a unit?
- Four entries: booked in with a pallet location, held with a days-in-storage count, run up and signed at the bench, then logged out against the docket and signed for on receipt.
- Can we get a status report on our hardware?
- Yes. Ask your coordinator for status by serial, stock on hand by site, days in storage, or copies of signed installation sheets.
- How long do you keep records?
- For the length of the contract, and available on request.
- How do you handle devices that hold data?
- They are tracked as individual assets from pickup through to reinstall or your disposal process, with a serial entry at both ends. Where destruction is required it is performed by a specialist subcontractor rather than in-house. A Certificate of Data Destruction is issued by Asset LifeCycles Management Group (ALM Group).
SCREENING AND INSURANCE
- Are your crews screened?
- Technicians attending sites are police-checked and hold construction induction (white card) and WHS certification. Site-specific inductions are completed before the crew attends.
- What insurance do you carry?
- $20,000,000 public and products liability, and NTI Carriers Protect goods-in-transit cover. Certificates of currency are available on request.
PRICING AND STORAGE
- How do you price a job?
- On the work, not on a category. Tell us the sites, the machine count and when it has to be working, and we come back with a scope, a schedule and a price.
- How is storage charged?
- Per pallet, per week, with a pallet location and a days-in-storage count against every unit — so the invoice reconciles against the record rather than against an estimate. Rates are quoted with the job.
- Can you store our things between properties?
- Yes. Belongings or hardware hold at Mortdale with a location against each pallet and a days-in-storage count, which matters when settlement or a fitout date moves.
